Wafer type ball valve is a type of “thin” ball valve with 1-piece body design, short distance between the valve seat and the end flange, and short face-to-face dimension. Normally the valve is monobloc one piece type, but for larger sizes, wafer ball valves could also be designed in 2 pieces split body. Due to its lightweight design, wafer ball valves are used in low pressure service. Other Options include O-port, V-port, Curved Port, and Rectangular port for different flow regulation requirements

Wafer ball valves are widely used in chemicals, pharmaceuticals, food and beverage, grease, biotechnology, liquid detergent, metallurgy, paper making, shipbuilding etc.

The wafer ball valve is ideally suited to applications where space is at a premium. The wafer ball valve is normally one-piece design and floating ball type, and are available in both cast and forged body, full and reduced bore configurations and, although intended for manual operation, actuation can be accommodated on certain sizes.
